Webdesk, TNI Islampur, 25th April, 2017: A big cave was today unearthed at an area under Fatehpur Border outpost of Chopra Police Station by the BSF. Tension had mounted in the administrative circle because the cave is discovered at the Indo-Bangla border area. The cave was detected by the ‘G’ Branch of the BSF intelligence wing. The area is cordoned by the BSF. The road traffic was also closed on the CPWD Road adjacent to the BOP area of Fatehpur. However, closed sources informed that the cave is found in an unfinished condition. At least 80 meters of the cave was dug and another few meters were required to enter Bangladesh border. A high-level investigation is already initiated. According to the DIG of Kishanganj BSF Mr. D. A. Singh, the nature of the cave suggests that it was built for trafficking cattle illegally to Bangladesh. However, other sources suggest that the investigators are not ruling out other intentions for the digging of the cave.
